SAP Business Data Cloud 2026 Partner Ecosystem integration

SAP's Business Data Cloud 2026 strategy is particularly notable for the way it has turned competition into collaboration. It includes existing and planned partnerships with:

  • Databricks
  • Snowflake
  • Microsoft

These integrations will allow SAP Business Data Cloud users to leverage the unique advantages of each of these platforms while retaining the rich semantic context of their SAP and non-SAP data. That semantic context will greatly empower partner AI and ML offerings to enrich analytics and planning in an open data ecosystem featuring zero-copy, bi-directional sharing of data and metadata.

Analytics and Report Broadcasting

From an analytics and report broadcasting perspective, the new SAP strategy is very good news, because a greater emphasis on BDC in a central role means SAP Analytics Cloud also becomes more central and more tightly integrated with all of the other elements of the strategy, increasing its power to communicate the enterprise narrative from the highest to the most detailed level.

The role of report broadcasting in this brave new world will necessarily be centralized and critical to enterprise-wide communication. APOS Publisher for Cloud is well placed to fulfill this role as a scalable, data-driven, enterprise report broadcasting platform for orchestrating personalized distribution, strategic delivery and timing, and agentic AI integration.

The 2026 SAP Business Data Cloud Strategy

SAP's Business Data Cloud strategy for 2026 aims to make BDC the centerpiece of the most integrated data, intelligent application, governance, lifecycle management, planning, analytics, and AI platform the world has ever seen.

A series of webinars from SAP in 2026 will highlight their new strategy. The first in this series, Discover SAP Business Data Cloud in 2026, is available on demand, and you can register for future events here.

The emerging SAP strategy shows Business Data Cloud is a key priority for SAP and the recent webinar paints an engaging picture of BDC's future:

  • Persona Centric:
A unified data definition that enables IT, business users, and AI agents to easily discover, explore, understand, and act on the data
  • Lakehouse Architecture:
Cost-efficient, scalable cloud object storage with TCO with parquet format for structured and unstructured data
  • Data Product Economy:
Out-of-the-box, SAP-managed, discoverable, rich business semantics and metadata, SaaS access
  • AI/ML, Analytics & Planning:
Utilize SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, AI Foundation, SAP Databricks, SAP Snowflake; no-code, low-code, or pro-code tooling options
  • Open Data Ecosystem:
Zero-copy delta share, bi-directional sharing of data and metadata enabling a connected open data ecosystem of partners

Publisher for Cloud: Enterprise Report Broadcasting Orchestration

SAP's bold BDC strategy only increases the need for the kind of integrated enterprise broadcasting capabilities that APOS Publisher for Cloud delivers. With all business units and information distribution needs being served by a centralized data platform, it is easy to foresee the convenience and governance possible with a centralized enterprise broadcasting platform.

The SAP BDC 2026 strategy will greatly increase the power of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) in analytics and planning, but will not address organizational needs for automated broadcasting and targeted distribution of operational, management, and financial reports. Like all modern analytics platforms, SAC is constrained in its report broadcasting capabilities.

APOS Publisher for Cloud is a scalable, enterprise report broadcasting orchestration solution that extends the broadcasting capabilities of organizations and users, now and into the future. One of the features that makes a compelling case for the deployment of Publisher for Cloud within the SAP Business Data Cloud strategy is its integration with agentic AI.

Report broadcasts can be triggered in numerous ways, including:

  • Date and time execution
  • Command line execution
  • Conditional execution
  • Agentic AI execution

Agentic AI execution gives agents control of the dynamic selection of reports, recipients, and filters via broadcast recipient data. This integration dramatically expands use case possibilities to leverage agentic AI logic to control when, where and why a broadcast should run, making AI agents a powerful element in the ongoing development of report broadcasting workflows.
